Xi'an has been a capital of many Chinese Dynasties. This historic city houses many treasures of China's history. For example, the Terra-cotta Warriors which were created to protect an Emperor's tomb. These 1:1 clay soldiers were only discovered in the 1970s when farmers were digging a well for water. When further excavated they discovered over 2,000 warriors located underground. Today we visited the Terra-cotta Warrior Museum located on the outside edge of Xi'an. This museum has attracted a lot of attention and has become a major tourist destination.

We also toured the Wild Goose Pagoda. This famous Buddhist temple was so beautiful! It towers above the landscaped surroundings. We had an English speaking tour guide who eloquently described the many Buddhist beliefs and their history with this Pagoda as well as many others within China.

Night Life: Duncan lead us to a great street lined with bars...and enthusiastic people trying to get the Americans into their bar. This street was called Defu Alley.

This ancient city has many more treasures to see!
