Rainy; all plans fell apart...

Today’s top highlights:

1. Shanghai museum

Funny: Our tour guide, who doesn’t speak any English, grabbed us museum brochures...but they were in French. I thought this was so funny because it would be like me grabbing a Japanese one for a Chinese group. Its nice to know other cultures struggle to differentiate the western cultures too haha

Cool Collections:

-Jade

-Silver

-Ming/Qing Furniture

-Traditional Costume

-Painting/Calligraphy

2. The Mall

-We ate lunch at Pizza Hut (first time I’ve ever eaten there and it was delicious)

-I almost bought a $150 shirt with horses on it because I couldn’t say no to the sweet women helping me shop

Funny: Kay was struggling to get soap from the dispenser and a Chinese women put soap on her hand to show Kay what would come out of the dispenser....but Kay miss understood and took it off her hand to and used it. The women looked so confused and Kay got very embarrassed....it was hilarious!! We’ve been laughing about it all day

3. The Underground Market

-Very interesting and a bit in-nerving...lesson learned = haggling is an art and I'm not good at it. All the stores hide better quality brands in suitcases and only show upon request

Funny: while waiting for the the bus on our way home a high school girl asked Kay and I to take a photo with her...so somewhere our picture is circulating around China. After she asked how we liked the city...we said “we love it!“ and she said she does too and walked off with a smile.
