The Great Wall and blue skies

Today we headed back up the wall…but this time on a gondola! Today, for the first time in China, I could see blue skies and the sun! The clear day allowed us to see miles away which only made the magnitude of the wall even better! I could see the wall as far as my eyes could see, and in both directions! We (Kay, Jake, Duncan, Liu, and Lui’s 3 kids) quiet literally climbed the Great Wall! There were points on the wall that were so steep we were climbing it like people rock climb a vertical incline! It was so fun, and on our hurried way back Lui bought us an ice-cream, but I had a mango popsicle and it was AMAZING!!!

Not many people in their lives get to see this amazing creation, and I got to climb, play and laugh on it twice! I am so very happy for this opportunity and I cannot wait to come visit again!

While I think I could have stayed at the Great Wall forever, unfortunately, we are headed back to Beijing today!
