Welcome to Krakow folks!

With another early morning, we headed to the train station for a 7 hour ride from Prague to Krakow. Most of the day was spent on another train, but once we got settled in we headed out to explore the old town, get a quick bit to eat, drink some beer and of course people watch.

Our hotel is located within a 20 minute walk to the oldest, original center of Krakow. On this we walked we got see the city transform from grungy, communist-looking buildings into old Gothic, Baroque, Romanesque, and Renaissance style buildings. At the heart of the old town is a large square lined with cafes, cathedrals, markets, street artists and horse carriages. I am not sure what I was expecting from this city, but I have been blown away within the first several hours I have explored.
